Gillette's home hockey season opened this last weekend with the Cobre Tire Bantams sweeping the Billings Bulls.
On Saturday The Bantams beat Billings 5-3 in the first game and blasting them to a 9-1 victory in the second game on Sunday.
Brandon Brosa scored a goal with 1:43 to go in the first peroid to put Gillette to a 1-0 lead. Clay Pokallus got the second goal with a assist from Karson Kellebrew to put the period to a end.
Drew Baier started off the second peroid scoring for gillette on a pass fromDrew Konetzki and Clay Pokallus scored the next two goals for Gillette earning him a hat trick.
On Sunday Gillette dominated with goals from Taylor Jones, Clay Pokallus, Rick Comer, Drew Konetszi, Brandon Brosa, Tyler Jones and Karson Kellebrew. Earning assists were Eric Meier, Taylor and Tyler Jones, Derek Orgaard, Adam Fairfield, Karson Kellebrew, Brandon Brosa And Tyler Davidson.
Casey Cash played in the net for both saturday and sunday, and also playing for the bantam squad were Wes Sisel, Travis Browning, Mike Wilson and Adam Bache.
The Bantams will return to action in Montana on November 23-24 in Billings
